Cross Street Bridge over I-93

The contract for replacement of the Cross Street Bridge over I-93, with related improvements to the roadway approaches, was awarded to R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, NH in November 2006. Construction activities began mid-winter, 2006/2007.

The replacement bridge located approximately 80 feet north of the old bridge is 420 feet long. Upon completion of the proposed bridge and roadway approaches, the former bridge was removed. The project required the relocation of some utilities, most notably the reconstruction of 770 feet of waterline which was directionally bored under existing I-93 to the north of the bridge.

The new Cross Street Bridge opened to traffic on August 21, 2008.
